We live adjacent to Whetstone Park in Columbus. Last year we put in a large
native bed and put 4 bluebird houses at the edge. Miracle of all miracles,
if you build it, they come. At least this time they did. We have nesting
bluebirds with two eggs. I have only seen a bluebird once in the park a few
years ago, so needless to say, we are thrilled about it. We also have
nesting house wrens which are busy feeding their young. They are not
bothering the bluebirds, but the bluebirds are obviously keeping their eyes
on the wrens as they occasionally chase one if too close to the bluebird
nest.
