There were 2 American avocets and 1 marbled godwit at Conneaut late this
afternoon.  Unfortunately they are getting ready for the annual D-Day
reenactment so you could not drive out on the mudflat.  The birds were
observed with a scope from the east drive that runs along the marina.  I
could also see a couple dowitchers and a lesser yellowlegs and some peeps.
There were also a lot of gulls on the mudflat, but nothing unusual.  It was
nice for the birds to have some peace and quiet with no dogs or pick-ups
driving through the flat.  I'm sure what is there now may be gone after the
reenactment tomorrow.  I'm not sure what time they are doing reenactment,
but it's worth watching if you are out that way
