-I was walking my dogs today in the ravine at the Park or Roses and observed
some unusual behavior. I came upon 5 nuthatches in a tree vocalizing very
loudly. They were joined by more nuthatches and soon there was as many as
20 nuthatches all calling. Then in came about 10 chickadees and this was
followed by 1 goldfinch and 2 redbellied woodpeckers. All birds were very
adjatated but I could not see any hawk or Owls nearby. This activity went
on for about 10 minutes and then suddenly halted. All the birds dispersed.
