It seems like Mondays are the days to watch the lake. Like last Monday
things were hopping today with a great movement of gulls and good numbers of
ducks. The majority of the gulls were herrings and most were immature
birds. Birds of note were 2 glaucous, 1 Iceland, and 5 lesser black-backed
gulls. There was a decent movement of Bonaparte's with over 500 birds. Of
note was an adult little gull. Of note with the waterfowl were surf and
black scoters. They were all flying amongst merganser flocks.

I quit watching the lake around 11:15. I watched the lake off and on in the
afternoon and the gulls continued to pass by. Although I didn't take a
count, it seemed like there were a lot more great black-backed gulls going
by. The only other bird of note was an adult glaucous gull.
