This morning I briefly stopped at these two parks in Westerville looking for migrants, spending about an hour in each. The Schrock Lake Loon was easily seen, and I was a little surprised that there weren't photographers snapping easy shots of this gorgeous bird. Despite the overcast skies, there wasn't much migrant fallout at either place. Notables included:

Cormorants - 8-10 were on the reservoir above Hoover dam
Common Loon - aside from the Schrock Lake bird, there were also 3 on Hoover Reservoir above the dam
Blue-winged Teal - 2 were on Schrock Lake
Wild Turkeys - 4 males were strutting their stuff for 5 females in the north meadow of Sharon Woods, above Schrock Lake
Woodpeckers - plenty of Flickers at both spots, but again no sapsuckers
Swallows - Tree Swallows at both locations, but nothing else. The Cliffs haven't returned to Hoover dam yet.
Brown Creeper - 1 was singing along the Thomas Trail in Sharon Woods
Kinglets - small #s of Ruby- and Golden-crowns at Sharon Woods; only the latter at Hoover dam
Hermit Thrush - 1 was singing in the ravine east of Hoover dam
Brown Thrasher - 2 were singing around the edge of the meadows north of Schrock Lake
Warblers - 5-6 Yellow-rumps and 1 Pine were singing along the Thomas Trail at Sharon Woods
Sparrows - good #s of Chipping (20+) and Field (10+) at Sharon Woods, but only White-throats and Songs with them
