My wife said, she just saw a Downey come to the Hummingbird feeders and just drink and drink and drink. In all the years we’ve had Hummingbird feeders up, neither of us has every observed a Downey drinking at a Hummingbird feeder. We’ve only had about 1.8 inches in June and July combined and that came on the 28th and 29th of June and the first of July, is there a possibility that fresh water is becoming scarce and they are looking for alternatives sources of water! If so what can we do to provide water to them other than the bird bath, which we have, and keep clean and full.
