It was sitting on open water in the middle of the reservoir near a small group of Cormorants when I found it, then it flew up and east out of sight. I don't think it left the area (though it could end up at Hoover) so if you're nearby birding today it would be worth reading up on Red Phalarope ID and stopping by. At least one of the Selasphorus hummingbirds remains very active at the
feeders at the Black Swamp Bird Observatory today. There appears to be fewer
Ruby-throats since the cold front that came through Friday.
