I saw that more scoters were being seen at Sims Park yesterday so I went there today around 1:15pm. The lake was flat. I stood near the concrete bench west of the pier and counted 24 scoters in a long line straight out. Then a boat approached from the west but further out and they all dispersed every which way and were much further out. So I didn't bother counting again. There could of been more out there. Here is what I could see:

Black Scoters 15
Surf Scoters 2 (at least but not much more - lot of White-winged look like Surf
White-winged Scoters 7

Lesser Scaup 7 (some mixed in with scoters)
Bufflehead
Common Goldeneye 7
Red-breasted Mergansers - not huge numbers
Horned Grebes 50+ (stopped counting at 50)
Common Loons 2 (seen by Marian & Jeffrey Kraus
Bonaparte's Gulls - most seem to be at Eastlake Power Plant

Saturday 11/17 there was one Surf Scoter at Villa Angela in front of rock piles in front of mobile home park
