Again my deep apologies for the false alarm on the Barred Owl!  The circumstances of how I received the pic contributed to the mess-up but regardless it was a pretty big faux pas on my part.  Thank you everyone for the very considerate and gentle corrections.  A good learning experience for me.

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Barred Owl  - same bird, two views
 
Here is a link to two pictures of the same owl.  It moved from one tree to
the next, the lighting changed and one view shows its back while the other
shows its front http://www.flickr.com/photos/85567104@N05/.  If I did not
take the pictures myself I would swear this was two different birds.  For
someone who is just learning their owls this could look like two different
species!
