The Mahoning River is probably the only unfrozen water around the Lowellville area now. I checked the Lowellville - Struthers section today, and had these birds: 200 Canada geese, mallards, 2 redheads, 5 ring-necked ducks, 6 c. goldeneyes, 14 hooded mergansers, 2 pied-billed grebes, and 1 belted kingfisher.
