With the warmer temperatures over the weekend, the birds were on the move on 
the islands. Tree Swallows returned enmasse to the Scheeff East Point 
Preserve grid monitored by Paula Ziebarth. Turkey Vultures are moving around 
and roosting in numbers. Eastern Phoebes seemed to be everywhere on last 
Sunday and Monday. Waterfowl are still around in large numbers-even saw two 
wood ducks today in the small frog pond at the Lake Erie Islands Nature and 
Wildlife Center. Saw the following waterfowl and songbirds on South Bass and 
Middle Bass. Finally had time to send with the inclement weather today!
