I was at Villa Angela/Wildwood State Parks on the east side of Cleveland today from 1:20 to 3:20pm. I birded with Jeanne Hrenko most of that time. Land birds were hard to find in this wind swept park. We saw many Brown Thrashers, Eastern Towhees, White-throated Sparrows, few Hermit Thrush, few Ruby-crowned Kinglets, C couple Swamp Sparrows but the best bird was a Northern Waterthrush Jeanne found today in the wet area of Villa Angela. Funny thing this is probably the same bird Jeanne saw and described on April 16th the day I came later and photographed a Louisiana Waterthrush. My picture on the 16th wasn't what she had seen but it looks like both birds were there that day but it seemed hard to believe at the time.

Also, on Euclid Creek were seven Blue-winged Teal, couple Spotted Sandpipers, a Forster's Tern flying up and down Euclid Creek and then in the marina. It was kiting on the creek earlier, a flyover Caspian Tern and two Bonaparte's Gulls in the marina, six Lesser Scaup, over five Horned Grebes, a Red-breasted Mergansers in marina and the lake and a Great Blue Heron.
