APRIL 14, 2013 - Cuyahoga Valley National Park Spring Migrants.
HIKE: Metro Parks, Serving Summit County's Bike & Hike Trail from Boston Mills Rd. south to just past Boston Ledges then west on to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park's Boston Run Trail to Happy Days Lodge to Haskell Run Trail to Ledges Trail to the Octagon Connector Trail to Pine Grove Trail to the Kendall Lake Connector Trail to Lake Trail to Salt Run Trail to Kendall Hills, cross Quick Rd. & take Wetmore Trail to Dickerson Run Trail to Langes Run Trail to the Valley Bridle Trail to Maplewood Picnic Area off of Akron-Peninsula Rd.
TIME: 7:40am-3:05pm TEMP.: 31-56 COND.: Mostly cloudy most of the day, clouds/sun mix later.
FT.MI.: 10.0 OBS.: Douglas W. & Michelle Vogus.

3. Eastern Gray Squirrel - 12 (2 black phase)
4. Eastern Fox Squirrel - 7

3. Double-crested Cormorant - 8 (fly-over at Maplewood P.A.)
4. Great Blue Heron - 4
5. Turkey Vulture - 9
6. Bald Eagle - 1 (fly-over adult at Maplewood P.A.)
7. Cooper's Hawk - 1 (f)
8. Red-shouldered Hawk - 4 (1 immature)
9. Red-tailed Hawk - 8 (1 immature)
10. Spotted Sandpiper - 1 (Kendall Lake)
