Chilly but nice day to be out. Kingfishers, green-winged teals, sapsuckers,
hermit thrush, swamp sparrow, golden-crowned kinglets, and a Solitary
Sandpiper, foraging on a patch of mud in the beaver pond below the
observation deck. If you approach the deck cautiously you might not scare
off the teals and wood ducks. The sandpiper was busy feeding and didn't mind
me being there.
