Hello All,
After a good batch of wintering Birds, things are slowing down here in our backyard. Red-breasted nuthatches, Gold finches and houses finches are still present along with Downy woodpeckers. We have observed a few White -throated and White-crowned sparrows passing through. But I guess I will have to rely on the Banders Blog at the BSBO Banding station to stay tuned in on what's happening in migration this year. If you've never visited the blog and you're a relatively new birder or an old codger like me, its a great way to keep up. And even if you're not you don't have to buy gas to enjoy seeing birds you might never see by driving all over. After almost ten years of helping at the Navarre Marsh Banding Station I can still keep current on the migration, Spring and Fall, even though I am unable to participate first hand. Check out the BSBO Bander's Blog and get in on the fun.
