I just got back from a weekend at Springfield L. in Summit Co.  An osprey was seen fishing there daily; there must be a nest nearby as it is too early for a migrant yet.  Other birds at Springfield L. included double-crested cormorants, green heron, common nighthawk, e. kingbird, warbling vireo, purple martins, tree swallows, cedar waxwings, and yellow warbler.  On the way home today I saw another osprey at Meander Res. in Mahoning Co.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
