I spent a very long day at Conneaut harbor, from 6:15 AM to 4:00 PM.  The new Port Authority Security van shooed me out after a vicious thunderstorm in the afternoon.  The spit was awash with water at that point, and they locked the gate at the entrance.  Bird highlights were: bald eagles, 8 killdeer, spotted sandpiper, lesser yellowlegs, ruddy turnstone, sanderling, semipalmated sandpiper, least sandpipers, Caspian terns, belted kingfishers, willow flycatcher, e. kingbird, warbling vireo, purple martins, and yellow warblers.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
