I went to Villa Angela/Wildwood today around 6:20pm to 8pm. These parks are now referred to as being apart of Euclid Creek Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks on Lakeshore Blvd near E. 174th in Cleveland. I had not been there since Sunday. By the time I got there I wasn't seeing much of anything. Running out of options I eventually walked offpath in the Villa Angela woods where I heard some Cardinals calling and as I was starting to look at the cardinals on the ground with my binoculars a very large bird flew out from a large tree but - stayed in the woods (around 6:55pm). First time I personally have found one at these two parks as I usually have only seen Great Horned or Screech Owl. Pointed it out to two birders walking their dog as I was leaving and they noticed it was after a squirrel at one point. Since I never find many owls we were all very excited.
Otherwise, not much else around those woods. Other birds of note: 2 immature Black-crowned Night-Herons seen in willow hanging over creek below bridge and also in wetland area, l Green Heron, Great Crested Flycatcher, Eastern Kingbird.
