I was at EHSP today (without any scope) & could see many shorebirds & terns in middle harbor. I was able to get good looks by walking down the beach, the beach at one point becomes extremely narrow. Just past that point I layers a small log perpendicular to the beach pointing back into the trees. Walk back there and you will have good looks.
