Fellow birders,

Finding a redneck in Perry County is hardly news, but a Red-necked
Grebe is another matter. Found one at Clouse Lake this morning in the
company of three Horned grebes and one pied-billed grebe, making it a three
grebe morning. While there, three Common Goldeneye flew in and stayed for
just a few minutes. Phil Swan came up from New Lex to help verify. Phil
is a returning red neck, coming back to Perry County from Los Angeles after
the traffic apparently got the best of him.
Attached is a digiscope on flickr (of the bird)
