I was at the Lake Erie Bluffs Metropark this morning and had 4 dark ibis fly
by. The ibis were about a ½ mile inland from the lake heading east. They
were either glossy or white-faced, they were too far.

There were a lot of hawks and vultures migrating today. I didn’t have a lot
of time to spend, but in the hour and a half I was there I counted over 400
vultures, 2 Cooper’s hawks, 16 sharp-shinned hawks, 1 northern harrier, 20+
red-tailed hawks, 2 red-shouldered hawks, and an osprey. There was a large
movement of flickers with over 200 being counted. Other new birds were barn
and rough-winged swallow, brown thrasher, and field sparrow. There were a
lot of Caspian terns moving on the lake. I also had 2 long-tailed ducks.
See lakemetroparks.com for directions.
