The American Avocets reported earlier today at "The Conneaut Sandspit", Ashtabula County, are still here as of 2:35PM today, Sunday afternoon. The original 13 has gained an additional traveler, now making the total 14. The Willet is also still here tolerating the beach goers, the dogs, and the wind sails. The avocets originally arrived at 11AM as previously reported by Sandra Griffiths. Some of the other shorebirds present are 11 Short-billed Dowitchers, 1 Greater Yellowlegs, 2 Lesser Yellowlegs, and 12 Least Sandpipers. The Bald Eagle count today was 39, 6 adults and 33 juveniles.
