What an awesome day in Ashtabula Harbor! All birds moving from west to east. It started off with a FOY Northern Harrier flying right over me then continued with a stream of Blue Jays that...well it pretty much didn't end. Many groups of 10 to 100 added up to an amazing 1900 (yes 1900!!!) from 7:00a to around noon when things started to slow down for the Jays.

Other personal highlights between Ashtabula Harbor and Walnut Beach

Lifer! Sandhill Crane flyover and a single Sedge Wren! How awesome!

FOY birds, Northern Harrier, Broad-winged Hawk, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, White-crowned Sparrow, Gray Catbird, Magnolia Warbler, House Wren, Eastern Kingbird, Baltimore Oriole, and finally Warbling Vireo.

Not much warbler diversity but that's OK there were plenty of other birds to check out! Here are my eBird lists for the day. http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S23228822 http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S23228700

Good luck to all this spring!
Chris Swan
