I walked around the woodland trails at this MetroPark in the southeast suburbs of Columbus and found temperate migrants in fairly good numbers. In 1.5 hours I had
Raptors: a pair of Cooper's Hawks and a Red-tailed Hawk, but no Barred Owl(s)
Woodpeckers - LOTS, with Red-bellied highest (13-14), but also good numbers of Downies & Flickers. An adult and juvenile Red-headed were in the oaks adjacent to Ashton Pond.

Flycatchers - only a single E.Phoebe, around the Nature Center Pond.
BlueJays - decent #s, with 16-20
Blue-headed Vireos - at least 2
Kinglets - all Golden-crowns, totaling around 10-12 (There are few conifers here.)
Hermit Thrush - one near Ashton Pond
Warblers - only Yellow-rumps, and no great numbers of them (8-9)
Sparrows - not many, with only a few Field, Song, and White-throated
Blackbirds - a modest flock of 35-40 grackles was working through the main forest
Finches - nothing other than the expected House Finches and Goldfinches

The no/low shows included Brown Creeper (only 1) and Winter Wren (0), so not everything was rosy. But it was a beautiful morning to be out.
