NOVEMBER 05, 2016 - CUYAHOGA VALLEY MONTHLY TOWPATH TRAIL CENSUS.ROUTE: Red Lock Trailhead south to Merriman Valley. TIME: 7:30am - 4:30pm TEMP.: 30~64~63 COND.: Very brisk early, warming to sunny with blue skies and a light south breeze turning S/SW at 5-10mph from 1:20pm - 2:00pm, then turning pleasant & calm the rest of the day. A beautiful early November autumn day.TRAIL COND.: Good. RIVER COND.: Normal. FT.MI.: 14.40 OBS.: John Henry & Douglas W. Vogus.
I. MAMMALS: 6 SPECIES, 37 INDIVIDUALS.

   - Eastern Chipmunk - 4

   - Eastern Gray Squirrel - 2
   - Eastern Fox Squirrel - 1
   - Red Squirrel - 17
   - Common Muskrat - 2
   - White-tailed Deer - 11 (4-pt buck,10-pt buck,8 does,1 heard running)

II. BIRDS: 46 SPECIES (tied November low from 11/05/2011), 711 INDIVIDUALS.(NOTE: m = male; f = female; ? = bird was seen but not sexed; * = bird was heard calling but not sexed)
