We made a quick run around the forest trails of Blacklick Woods (Reynoldsburg, SE of Columbus) yesterday, taking advantage of the mild weather and hoping for half-hardy strays. No such luck, but Red-headed Woodpeckers continue to be spread over the forest patch; we had 4. The Nature Center feeders were cleared by a Sharp-shined hawk while we were there, but a Red-br.Nuthatch was hanging around them and is likely to still be present. Many of the expected flock birds along the trails, but we also had 4 E.Towhees and 3 Yellow-rumped Warblers.
