There was quite a few birds feeding in the receding flood waters in the field off Rt 212 just before TR 83 ( the road to Camp Tuscazoar ). This is just east of Rt 800.
Birds seen:
Rusty Blackbirds - 10 to 12
Flickers – many More than we have ever seen at one time
Pileated Woodpeckers – 2
There were also many Yellow- rumped Warblers, A. tree Sparrows, bluebirds, woodpeckers and chickadees in the trees and scrub along the road.
A scope is needed for birds feeding in the field.
Terry and Barb Sponseller
