I spent a few hours in these two parks along the Scioto River south of Columbus, and found about what you might expect here in mid-June. There were quite a few singing residents, but some unexpected birds as well. The notables included:

BankSwallows - a flock of 16-20 were foraging around the river & wetland pond at Scioto Grove
AcadianFlycatchers - 3-4 in riparian woods of each park
Wood Thrushes - 5-6 were singing in the riparian woods at Scioto Grove, but none were at Berliner
Prothonotary Warblers - 2 were singing at each park, along the river in the riparian woods
American Redstart - 1 was singing in the riparian woods at Scioto Grove.
Grasshopper Sparrow - at least one was singing in the weedfield at the entrance to Scioto Grove
Great Egrets - 2 were flying up the river, one in each park, while one was fishing near the Greenlawn Dam
