Hi All,
Have any of you tried taking away paragraph breaks in a story or essay and having students try to find where the breaks should go?
I'm doing this with my 8th graders. The task is to read the story without paragraphs and insert paragraph breaks where they should go, annotating for why the paragraph ends where it does. They then compare with the original version, analyzing why the original breaks where is does.
Best,
Scott Woods
