Sorry about the abbreviated post.
This morning at Shawnee Praire Preserve on 502 just west of Greenville,
there was a flyover of a mature Bald Eagle. As far as I know there is no
nest closer than Grand Lake St. Marys.
Highlights of the walk were
female Redstart
house wren
bluebirds
Great Crested Flycatcher
Redheaded Woodpecker
After the walk, I worked with the Olde Thyme Gardeners replanting the herbs
in the period garden for the log house. On my walk back to my car, I was
dive-bombed by an angry female bluebird. It dived from the top of a spruce
tree(40 feet tall) right down at my head. What an experience.!
