Sims Park in Euclid this morning had approximately 30
scoters. (Yesterday I only found about 21)
It looked like the majority were Surf Scoters with a
few Black Scoters and White-winged Scoters mixed in.
Still many many Common Goldeneye, several dozen Scaup,
Bufflehead
Horned Grebe 2, Great Black-backed Gull 1
Jim Helfrich pointed out a Peregrin Falcon that was
sitting in a tree hanging over the water a few hundred
feet east of the pier that was there for a least 1-1/2
to 2 hrs while everyone was there. Dick Rickard was
there also.
My Backyard
Around 4pm today I saw the first Red-breasted Nuthatch
I have seen in my backyard this winter at my hanging
tube feeder. He flew to the neighbors pine tree right
next door.
