I've been seeing quite a few LAPLAND LONGSPURS the last two days. Yesterday there were 2 right at the Logan/Union County line just east of West Mansfield; today my wife and I saw at least 25 in a field north of Treaty Line Road and west of Middlesworth Rd, west of Byhalia, and a few more at another location. They were always in the company of HORNED LARKS; interestingly, I haven't seen a single Snow Bunting the last two days, despite seeing hundreds of Horned Larks and over 30 Lapland Longspurs, and having seen Snow Buntings in this area in past years. Have others noticed a dearth of Snow Buntings in central Ohio?
