Rocky Fork Metro Park

Last Sunday we had our first Bird hike at Rocky Fork We traveled on
the N Meadows Trail & the Woodland Beech Trail. Below is a list of some of
the birds found there.
Harriers-2 females
E Meadowlark
Fox Sparrow
A Tree Sparrow
White-throated Sparrow
Red-tailed Hawk
Cooper's Hawk
N Flicker
Carolina Wren
E Bluebird
Yellow-rumped Warbler
House Finch
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Cedar Waxwing
E Towhee
Great Blue Heron
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
Great Horned Owl-This bird was seen on Dec 11th, near the Dog Park
Since we had Harriers on our hike, There is a good possibility
there are Short-eared Owls here also. If anyone finds any, please report it
to me
