Hello Everyone,
The Black Swamp Bird Observatory (BSBO) staff has been working with an
environmental attorney to prepare detailed comments on the U.S. Fish and
Wildlife Service voluntary wind energy guidelines; we're nearly finished.
As soon as our comments are completed and posted, we'll share them through
the BSBO website and encourage anyone who agrees with our position to
comment to that effect.

The Fish & Wildlife Service is accepting comments on two sets of
guidelines regarding bird mortality and wind turbines. You can read
about plans and pros and cons, read public comments, and make your own
comments by visiting http://www.fws.gov/windenergy/ . It's easy to
do, and I recall reading the period for comment ends 19 May.
