I had a late (early?) migrant blackpoll in my yard in North Perry this
morning. It was singing quite a bit and appeared to be an adult male. It
was present for about an hour and a half before moving on. Also of note
were a couple hundred tree swallows flycatching overhead. I regularly get
martins and rough-winged swallows with the occasional barn and tree swallow
this time of the year. The large number of tree swallows today was
unexpected.
