I'll tell you, gulls sure humble me. But, then, so do sparrows, fall
warblers and lots of other birds!
Please take a look at this gull and let me know what you think. My best
guess after looking through my reference books is Lesser Black-backed Gull,
but I am not sure. Perhaps because it does not have, what I think, is enough
'smudging' on the head and the mantle is not dark enough. Here are some
poor quality digiscoped pictures for all to consider.
