Lone Lapland longspur lolling 'longside larks.
Amongst a flock of horned larks at a mud puddle in the middle of a snow-covered cornfield, I sighted a single Lapland longspur today in Highland Co. along Briar Ridge Rd, off of Rt. 41, near the Ross Co. line. I don't see them much down this far south, though I've seen at least one other report of them, earlier this winter.
