Last winter the most at one time was 2 or 3 tree sparrows. This year
there have been a lot more, and lately are 15 to 20 under the feeders
all day long. They like the thistle seeds the goldfinches drop.
By contrast, there are only about 2 juncos at a time in the yard this
year. But I see a lot of them in groups along the roadways.
