Lake Hope State Park & Zaleski State Forest are located 15 miles
from Nelsonville(Rte 33) off of Rte 278. Below is a list of some of the
Birds seen yesterday (April 20th)
On Baptist Church Rd & Wheelabout Rd there are Clear Cuts & Shelter
Woods. Below is a list of Birds that can be seen in these areas.
I arrived before 7:00 am & the Wood Thrush song was filling the
woods!!!

Looking down into a raven, the woods were green
intermixed with Redbud, Dogwood & Apple blooming
I finished my day at a favorite Shelter Woods/Clear.
Suddenly I had a Blue-winged & Black-and-white Warbler singing while
foraging. Also 3 Prairie Warblers were singing around me.
Then a Prairie Warbler flew in & perched 2 feet from me at eye level. What
a way to finish a beautiful Birding day!!!
