Snow days are nice for teachers too. Had a single Common Redpoll at the feeders off and on all day among the gold and house finches. First "lifer" I've ever had at a feeder. In addition, while trying to focus on a Pileated Woodpecker I was hearing, I saw two coal-black eyes looking at me...Barred Owl. Woodpecker and owl in the same view. Nice! The redpoll was yard bird #100 and the owl #101.
