Birders,
I had a productive two trips to the CVNP today, one between 8 am and
11:30 am, and one between 4pm and 7:30 pm. The morning trip was along

towpath trail to the south.

barn Swallow
Northern Rough-winged Swallow
Black Capped Chickadee
Tufted Titmouse
White-breasted Nuthatch

House Wren
Blue-grey gnatcatcher
Eastern Bluebird
Robin
Gray Catbird
Yellow Warbler
Chestnut-sided warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Cerulean Warbler
Black-and-white warbler
Prothonotary warbler (3 males on territory, 1 female)
Common Yellowthroat
Scarlet tanager (H)
Eastern Towhee (H)
Song Sparrow
Northern Cardinal
Indigo Bunting
Red-winged Blackbird
Common Grackle
Northern Oriole
House Finch
American Goldfinch
The evening walk added
Yellow-throated warbler (3 heard, one seen)

Rose-breasted grosbeak
my yard added (Brecksville)
Swainson's thrush (2, been here a week!)

Surprising to be missing completely: no Vermivora representatives, no
shorebirds despite many small mudflats, very very few sparrow species.
good luck!
Bill
