I found 2 Willets in a flooded field east of Ansonia this evening. at Kester-Byard Rd. and St. Rt. 47.
Both birds had black and white underwings. They were about the size of nearby greater yellowlegs, but feed differently, had gray legs and a straight bill.

Other birds included:
Can. Geese
Lesser and Greater Yellowlegs
spotted sandpipers
Pipits

Earlier in the day, at the same spot were
Am. Golden Plovers
solitary sandpiper
as well as the birds above.
