Hi all,
On Saturday morning I stopped at Sheldon Marsh at 7:45 and stayed close to an hour. Most of the migrants were at the very end of the paved trail. As I stood there a constant flow of warblers were flying tree to tree – while most flew over. Here are some approximate numbers:
  Tennessee Warbler – 1
Nashville Warbler - 10
Chestnut-sided Warbler – 10
Magnolia Warbler – 15
Cape May Warbler – 2
Black-throated Blue Warbler – 5
Yellow-rumped Warbler – 30
Black-throated Green Warbler – 5
Bay-breasted Warbler – 5
Blackpoll Warbler - 25
Black-and-white Warbler – 1
American Redstart – 8
Common Yellowthroat - 4
Wilson’s Warbler - 3
Philadelphia Vireo - 1
Red-eyed Vireo - 5
Swainson’s Thrush - 10
White-throated Sparrow – 15
Least Flycatcher - 2
Red-breasted Nuthatch (of course)
On Sunday, a group of us checked out Cedar Point Chaussee. Most of the shorebirds moved out besides the usual Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, Semipalmated Sandpipers, Semipalmated Plovers, Pectoral Sandpipers, and Killdeer. Also present were Gadwall, American Wigeon, Blue-winged Teal, Northern Pintail, Green-winged Teal, American Black Duck, American Coots, Pied-billed Grebes, and 2 Peregrine Falcons.
Also, among the usual migrants I had a Canada Warbler at Cedar Point NWR.
