Hi Everyone,

Normally, Colombia would seem a little removed from Ohio, Iıll admit. Here I
am, missing the fall migration in Ohio, as well as the birding buddies and
organizations. But I thought this would interest you. Iıve just returned to
Quibdó, a low-altitude city of the Chocó rain forest from Bogotá, to find
that in my absence the Spotted Sandpipers have begun to return: each of the
last two days Iıve seen one in a local quebrada (stream) in the city. If
experience is  guide, from now on Iıll see a few whenever Iım on or near the
water. Did they pass through Ohio...?
