I figured this weekend's southerly winds wouldn't be too exciting for gull-hunting, but I thought it might be good for sea ducks, etc.  So I went up to Conneaut harbor for a look.  Birding was good there, with:  250 Canada geese, 11 tundra swans, mallards, Am. black ducks, greater & lesser scaup, ring-necked duck, 2 BLACK SCOTERS, 1 LONG-TAILED DUCK, buffleheads, 5 hooded mergansers, red-breasted mergansers, 2 ruddy ducks, Am. coot, 600+ Bonaparte's gulls, great black-backed gulls, SHORT-EARED
