I've stuck pretty close to home the last couple days, but still gotten some good birds here in NE Mahoning Co.  My Poland Twp. yard had a yellow-rumped warbler yesterday, and 3 purple finches plus 2 pine siskins today.  Along the Mahoning River in Lowellville I spotted 2 double-crested cormorants loafing on a log this afternoon--my first ever there.  The big surprise today was in Coitsville Twp., where I watched a tight formation of 3 sandhill cranes slowly circling and soaring NE.  I also found red-headed woodpecker and brown thrasher in Coitsville.  Later, Craig
