With only 1 hour to bird (6:30 - 7:30pm) I made a quick dash around the
wetland and power lines near the meadow. 23 species with best birds being
(3) Dowitchers which I am calling Long-billed because of their rich,
chestnut color and lack of any white on the belly (as described by Kaufman).
However, with no call to compare I realize I am on shaky ground.
Regardless, they were stunning in their rich plumage and could be easily
seen at the east end of the 'scrape'.

Also heard a Sora in the cattails and my FOS Indigo Bunting and Bobolinks.
Only saw one Yellow Warbler but the time of day and cold, overcast
conditions might have had something to do with that.

I'll bet this place is hopping on a warm, sunny morning.
