Hello Everyone,

I agree with Penny; I think the Ohio Wildlife Legacy Stamp should be
available everywhere that hunting and fishing licenses are sold, in every
nature center, in every Wild Birds Unlimited, et cetera.

Black Swamp Bird Observatory (BSBO) also offers the stamp through our
website via PayPal: http://www.bsbo.org/ohio_wildlife_legacy_stamp.htm
Or, you can call (419) 898-4070 and pay for one over the phone using a
credit card and we'll mail it to you. We also promoted and offered it
through the Biggest Week In American Birding:
http://www.biggestweekinamericanbirding.com/conservation.htm My husband
and I blogged about it, too:
http://birdingwithkennandkim.blogspot.com/2010/03/birders-gone-wild.html
We are also advocates for birders buying Federal Duck Stamps. I understand
the concern of birders' support being "lumped" in with that of hunters, but
BSBO has come up with a simple solution. When we sell Duck Stamps at the
BSBO gift shop, we fill out basic information about the purchaser and keep
records of how many birders buy the stamp. We encourage other Duck Stamp
vendors to do the same, so we'll be able to effectively quantify the impact
of birders on conservation through the purchase of the stamp. Oh, and,
just wait until you see the knockout image on the 2011 Ohio Wildlife Legacy
Stamp (OWLS). Yeah, how cool is it the the acronym for the stamp is OWLS?!
Okay, so the image is not a bird -- but it's something that a bird might
eat! : )

Support for habitat conservation should be on every birder's mind! Thanks
and good birding! ~Kim
