Hey everyone,

Today while birding with Jim Heflich, we had a flock of 10 Crossbills in the
pine trees of the parking lot around Mosquito Creek (Directions elaborated
upon by Bob Lane in a previous post). We had one male Red Crossbill, one
male White-winged Crossbill, and eight female/immature crossbills of which
at least 7 were White-winged. I have a picture on my Facebook showing both
birds with this link provided to see:

visiting this area over the past few days so it might be a great spot to see
both species.

Good luck!
