I was along the lake in Ottawa- Lucas Counties this morning. Nothing at Magee Marsh. At Ottawa NWR near the mouth of Crane Creek there was 1 white-fronted goose and 3 snow geese ( all blues). There was a northern shrike just north east of the parking lot. Off Stange Road there was a cackling goose with a large group of Canada geese. And of course the Ross' goose was at the inland lake at Maumee Bay. It was at the east end of the lake. In all 5 species of geese this morning. Other birds of note were 4 flyby sandhill cranes near Vehler Road. Lots of tundra swans in the Ottawa NWR area. Also the Bohemian waxwings near Curtice.
